going back the last 7 days.....#161, #162 and #163 were just burpees. Saturday was day #164 which was also the day of my Super Spartan race. The race was a blast and had more challenges than the previous year - I ended up having to do 90 burpees during the race so after I did the remaining 74 -it was exhausting. Sunday I had planned to do the crossfit games open WOD 1 -which was a 7 min AMRAP of burpees with a 6" mark above your reach that you had to touch with both hands with each burpee jump. My first attempt I was only able to knock out 92 and I was very disappointed in myself, I figured I could get more seeing that I have been doing burpees everyday for 164 days. I'm not one to make excuses but I will say my hips and knees were extremely sore from the 8 and half mile Super Spartan and I also realized that while I may be conditioned to do burpees on a daily basis, I haven't been doing them in a racing manner. Because of my stubbornness, I attempted the 7 minute AMPRAP 2 hours later! The second attempt I was only able to get 85- again disappointing to me and my burpee body but the 2 attempts did manage to get more than my allotted burpees for the day and left my shoulders more sore than they have been in a while. Yesterday's 166 were just burpees and then today, day #167 I did them as a WOD. Today's WOD -
25-23-21-19-17-15-13-11-9-7-5-2.....burpees, front squats(65#) and lower abs. Total count....14,028!!!

Day #160
Day #155 was just burpees. I did 166 with a 10# weighted vest which was a fun workout. Day #157 I did while visiting my grandmother in Bushnell, Fl. - her home had so many pictures of my mother and brought back so many memories -I was very proud to do them! #158 was just burpees again. #159 I started doing as a workout with double unders until my jump rope broke which put me in a very bad mood - I got through 3 rounds 26 burpees, 50 double unders - then I just finished with the remaining burpees. Today on Day #160 - I did an exhausting, long workout at my gym. I climbed up 5 flights of stairs (92 steps to be exact) - ran across the roof of the parking garage - down the stairs at the other end, ran through the ally back to my gym, then 36 burpees, 20 dead lifts (94#) and 50 abmat sit ups....for 5 rounds!!! Total count - 12,880!!

5 Months DONE!!!! Day #154
5 months in!!! That is really hard to believe. Did day 154 today as a workout. 7 rounds -22 KB swings (30#), 22 burpees, 22 sit ups!! Total count - 11, 935.

Today I did my burpees with ankle weights on and did them in sets of 30 with different glute exercises in between. My last post was my dead lift burpees on day #145, so I will fill in the days since then. Days 146 and 147 were just burpees. Day 148 I had some fun with bar facing burpees - the jump was over a barbell that had 25# plates on it -then you have to turn yourself around so you are always facing the bar. I did day #149 after a brutal TRX workout where a 19 year old kid tried to kill me. The next morning I went to a crazy boot camp to prepare for the Super Spartan in 2 weeks - flipping tires, sledge hammers, kettle bells, monster crawls, ropes, running ans swimming....then I did my 150 burpees. Days 151 and 152 were only burpees. The total count after the 153 I did this morning is 11,781.
