WOW - these days are flying by!!! First of all, the 1 leg suspended burpees for day #133 left my a$$ sore for 4 days...so anyone that wants a good butt workout - do some of those!!  Day #134 I incorporated them into a traditional, old school -chest press/lat pull workout!!  It's been over a year since I did regular presses like that and I felt those the next day!  Days 135, 136, 137 and 138 were just burpees!  The one day "no big deal" and next day "really suck" pattern is still happening!!!  I will be doing today's in a workout again doing old school arm exercises and a lot of core work!!

To catch you up on the other days - #129 and #130 were in Key West....while doing day 130, I overheard my 8 year old son say to my 7 year old daughter "I know mom CAN do burpees fast but some days she is off"!!!  Had to stop and laugh - most of my "off" days involve me being in Key West....go figure!!!  Day #131 I started doing it  as a WOD -but was just exhausted and not feeling it - I started with 13 burpes boxjumps (20") and then 10 DB 1arm snatches (30#). I kept the boxjumps for the first 5 rounds and kept the snatch, alternating arms for 8 rounds and then did the last 2 rounds of just 13 burpees plus 1 last burpee to make 131.  Yesterday I just did my 132 burpees with my normal "10 @ a time, catch my breath, 10 more...repeat"  method.

So I just finished day #128.   I did both 127 and 128 just burpees .  Day #126 I did them as a workout...6 rounds of 21 dumbbell deadlifts (2 -30# dumbbells), 21 burpees and 21 sit ups!  That was a lot of fun.

I wanted to see how bad or not bad it would be to maintain a pace of 10 burpees a minute for the 125 burpees today. I was pretty sure it would not be a problem. I started at the top of the minute and did 10 as fast as I could, then used the rest of the minute to rest....the first few rounds - got 'em done within 20 seconds - but even by the last couple rounds still had 'em under 30 seconds  - the 30+ seconds recovery was enough to catch my breath and bring my heart rate down enough to do the next 10 at a pretty quick pace.  I think every few weeks I am going to make sure I can maintain this pace.

Yesterday was exactly 4 months since this journey began.  A third of the way done....lol, the easy third!!  My last post was day #118....so let me catch up. day #119....I did my burpees with skater lunges....10 skater lunges then 10 burpees except for the 12th round where I only did 9 burpees.  Day #120 I did 4 sets of 30 burpees, 30 Bosu sit ups.  On Friday, day #121 I decided to take my friend's cardio class, I asked him to please incorporate the 121 burpees throughout the class - he snuck in 90....let's just say I was not a fan favorite when the others found out I asked for them. After the class I did the final 31. Days #122 and #123 were just straight burpees.  Today I made them into a WOD with a workout I was inspired by at the Crossfit 305 Ice Monster competition - the original WOD was 21-15-9 OHS (65#) and Kettle bell swings (35#).... I did 31 burpees, 21 OHS (45#) 21 KBS (30#), 31 burpees, 15 and 15, 31 burpees, 9 and 9 and ended with 31 burpees.

gotta say #114, #115 and #116 were not fun - much harder when I'm not in my regular routine to get them done.  I had my daughter counting for me and I have to laugh because she says "hurry up mom, stop stopping" -thanks, Maddy - I wonder where she learned that from.  Was doing my #116 Sunday night while watching/listening to "cupcake wars" - that was fun.

Yesterday I did a WOD for #117.  5 rounds of: 5 HSPU, 10 front squats (75#), 15 deadlifts (75#), 20 russian twists (30#KB left/right =1) and 23 burpees.  at the end of 5 rounds still had to do 2 more burpees to make 117.

Just finished day #118....passed the 7000 mark....total: 7021

Made 'em into a WOD again today with KB swings...
1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 and then 1 more set of 3 each to total 113.
killed me shoulders but I do love me some kettle bell swings - used the 30# KB.

Day #111

Ok - I spent New Years in Key West....not gonna lie, burpees were not fun to fit into the festivities but I did them.  And I am so inspired by Daniel who finished his burpee journey on New Years Eve!!! Today I turned them into a workout.  I did 3 rounds of  - 20 thrusters (45#), 37 burpees, 20 good mornings (45#) and 37 sit ups!!  I crossed the 6000 mark yesterday.  I'm proud to be doing this challenge!!
