Day #320

I forgot til I looked at my burpee calendar that yesterday I did 70 KBS (30#) throughout the 319 burpees.  Today I sprinkled 100 thrusters (45#) throughout the 320!  total -51,360

51,040 burpees done

The last 4 days (316-319) have been, for the most part, just burpees.  I ran a mile with a friend on Saturday at a near by park prior to the burpees (318) and convinced him to do the first 150 with me.  As boring as it has become to just do burpees it has also become harder and harder to do them in addition to another workout especially when I don't have a lot of time.  total count so far - 51,040

Day #315

Since the 1/3 mile burpees for Day #308 I have only done burpees each day with core exercises.  Today was another awesome workout with my OLWB at the park for day #315.

1/3mile of burpees!!!!

Crazy talk I tell you - not nearly as fun as that may seem.  Today was day #308....let me catch you up...I haven't done any crazy workouts with my burpees since day 300 with my OLWB.  I have done my burpees in between sets of traditional exercises and I have done them on their own.  When I was at the park to workout on Day 300 I noticed their "fitness trail" - it is 1/3 of a mile around.  I thought it would be fun to do burpees around it - wasn't sure if 300ish burpees would be enough to go the distance or not enough.  I had some extra time in my day today so I decided to try it.  It took me roughly 41 minutes...my son accidentally stopped my stop watch at one point.  I finished 90 steps short of the 1/3 mile. 58 days left!!!

Made it to day 300!!!!!

Yesterday was day 299 - just did burpees because I knew I had an awesome workout planned with 3 awesome women for today - day #300!!!


As always, my girl Amy designed another killer workout - we met at the nearby park.  The 4 of us dubbed ourselves OLWB (Old Ladies With Babies) about a year ago  - our ages range from 38-40 and there are 13 kids between us and we kick ass!!!! :)  It was so much fun today!

Day #298

Day #293 was just burpees
Day #294 - 4th of July - I did my burpees as in between different back and core exercises
Day #295 and #296 were just burpees
Day #297 I did between a traditional bi/tri and core workout - I use sets of 10 burpees as my rest between sets,
Day #298 I just did burpees and they seemed to take forever - after spending the day at the beach.

Day #292

37 burpee boxjumps (20")
37 burpee deadlift (75#)
37 MB burpees (20#)
37 inverted burpees
36 groiner burpees (learned these from a Tapout XT video -after the push up, bring the right foot up to the right hand then back center, then left foot to left hand and back center - then hope 'em back in and stand)
36 lateral hop over bar
36 tuck jump burpees (these were just as bad as I remembered them)
36 1 leg burpees (18 each leg)

Day #291...42,486

Days #286 and 287 I just did burpees....my abs were killing me from the 250 sit ups in my Day 285 workout.  Day #288, I did at the gym between sets of back exercises.  All the meat heads at 24 hour fitness were looking at me like I was a crazy person.

Day #289 I got to do with 2 of my OLWB (Old Ladies With Babies) ....
Amy programmed this workout then I modified it slightly to be able to incorporate my burpees  -

the workout she programmed was:
200 double unders
50 back squats (65#)
40 chin ups
30 KB swings (35#)
run 1 mile
30 KB swings
40 chin ups
50 back squats
200 double unders

I figured if I started with burpees and did some between each exercise and also ended with burpees - I could get 10 sets of 29 (28 on the last).

it sounded like a good idea.....

While Amy and Tara were warming up, I decided to do the first set of 29 burpees and last set of 28 as my warm up so we could all start together with the double unders.  I knew I would probably  have to cut some of the rest on the exercises and shorten the run just so I could come even close to finishing with Amy and Tara.

warmed up with 57 burpees

200 double unders
29 burpees
40 back squats (65#)
29 burpees
20 chin ups
29 burpees
30 KB swings (35#)
29 burpees
1/2 mile run
29 burpees
30 KB swings
.......then i hit a wall
so i just did the last 87 burpees without the other set of squats, chin ups and double unders.
took 47:49

Day #290 I had to get done early (was heading up to Hollywood, Fl for my 20 year high school reunion)....I kept a good pace - sets of 20 and got 'em done pretty fast.

Today was day #291....not gonna lie...they were not fun - very slow paced!
